the book is in stores!
ell, okay, it’s in SOME stores and my publishers tell me it should be more widely available within the next week or two. Plus, of course, it’s for sale on Amazon and Barnes and Noble. Ignore the promotional text on Amazon (somehow unvetted text was uploaded at some point and we’ve had trouble getting it updated). I couldn’t be more pleased to finally be touching a hard copy. This probably sounds crazy, but I never printed out any of the text while writing the book and so only now have something tangible in hand.
Also, many thanks to Cory Doctorow for the stunning review on BoingBoing today. I’m humbled and grateful.

Hello Suzanne,
I just started to read your book and it is really great and comprehensive!!! However, i think there is a typo on page 111. “STATIC PAGES it can valuable….” should it be “it can be valuable…” Just thought you would want to know. No worries. Really great read and i am thinking of starting a blog, maybe. Love the interviews.wow.
Thanks again

Suzanne:
I want to commend you for a fantastic job done with your book.As a blogger for almost five years now, I found it VERY useful in every way. As a Top 80 Amazon.com reviewer, I have it on my list to review very soon (five stars, of course). Finally, as a facilitator of a seminar on blogging this coming Thursday, I will be sure to cite it as the #1 reference for all attendees.
For now, I added a short version of the review about it on my blog. I will also be adding your blog to my blogroll: loved it!

Thanks to both of the kind readers who found typos! I’ve made a note and if the book makes it to reprint, I’ll be sure to correct the flubs.
And many, many thanks to Manny for his kind words. So glad the book is proving useful. I’ll check out your blog, as well.

Hi Suzanne:
I purchased your book through the Writer’s Digest Book Club, and am finding it to be a big help as I move forward to launch a site for my specialized writing (baseball history) interests. As a non-techie, I found that your book took terms that before had baffled me and put them in an easy to understand context. I am now methodically exploring many of the websites you included. I have already recommended “dispatches from blogistan” — the book — to a friend. Thanks for writing it!

Great book!!! It reminds me of a book I just read Ford and the American Dream by Clifton Lambreth.
